AGRÍCOLA DEL ALTO S.A.S. is a family-owned company that traces its beginnings back to November 1989. After hearing my mother's suggestions, we started researching and taking courses on mushroom cultivation in the Netherlands. We saw that it was a promising crop, so we decided to start growing mushrooms. Initially, we conducted some experiments in a stable on the farm where the cultivation is located today, with the help of a friend who was growing mushrooms in Filandia (Quindío). At that time, Pereira consumed very few mushrooms, and even with 50 kg per day, the market was almost saturated. Over the years, and after overcoming some difficulties, we have expanded our cultivation to produce 3000-3500 kg per week. This has allowed us to establish a presence in most of the supermarket chains in the coffee-growing region and the northern Valle. Our goal now is not only to be recognized for our quality in our entire area of influence but also to provide our employees with a company where they can develop as individuals and grow with us for a better future for all.
