DESCRIPTION AND HISTORY
Our company provides accommodation services and offers agrotourism experiences centered around the production and sale of roasted and ground coffee, as well as coffee-based beverages.
Since 1994 and for seventeen years, we dedicated ourselves to coffee production as a raw material (dry parchment). In 2010, motivated by the positive feedback and bonuses we received for the coffee beans produced on the farm, we decided to participate in the high-quality coffee competition in Pereira, organized by the Coffee Growers Committee of Risaralda, where we achieved third place among 90 participants. This event propelled us into the world of specialty coffees. Subsequently, we decided to adapt a cabin within the farm to offer accommodation within the framework of nature tourism. In 2011, we joined the Airbnb community, through which we began to receive an increasing number of accommodation requests from foreign and national tourists.
In 2015, we were highlighted by the Agronegocios newspaper, which recognized us for the integration of specialty coffee processes with agrotourism, a growing form of tourism in the Risaralda department. From 2016 to 2020, we averaged 46 visitors per year.
Due to requests for guided walks around the farm, our guests themselves led us to design the "From Seed to Cup" coffee tour, which has been well-received by both the people who stay with us and the visitors who come to enjoy day trips. In 2019, the Coffee Growers Committee of Risaralda and the Pereira City Hall certified us as part of the "Ruta: Pereira con Sabor a Café" for meeting the quality standards that classify us as accommodation where you can live the coffee experience amidst the coffee cultural landscape.
