DESCRIPTION AND HISTORY
SAMUARA is a company dedicated to the production of ripe green plantains, potato chips, and cassava as snack-type products. We are located in the municipality of Balboa, Risaralda.
At SAMUARA, our goal is to provide consumers with a 100% natural product, free from any preservatives or flavorings that would compromise its natural essence. It's worth mentioning that the raw material we work with, in this case, plantains, is our specialty and of top-notch quality, giving us a competitive edge in the market.
SAMUARA is a company that emerged from the need to add value to local products like plantains, which are grown in our municipality. We initially started our operations in the El Chuscal area of Balboa and later moved to the urban center to improve convenience and reduce fuel costs for processing.
In the beginning, we conducted one processing day per month, but over time, we increased it to two processes monthly. Currently, we have achieved a weekly processing schedule, enabling us to create job opportunities for 5 to 10 individuals. Additionally, we have obtained the Invima registration for our products, ensuring their quality and safety for consumers.
Our focus is on continued growth and improvement, with the aim of providing more employment and development opportunities to the Balboa community. We are committed to the progress of our locality and aspire to keep contributing to the economic and social development of our region.
