DESCRIPTION AND HISTORY
We are an association currently comprised of 97 farming families who have chosen to add value to coffee while also providing training services, the use of coffee quality laboratory facilities, and the purchase of cherry coffee from other producers in the region. Initially, it was created for the purpose of marketing roasted and ground coffee, and in 2016, we began the process of buying cherry coffee for the marketing of dry parchment coffee.
In 2008, an association formed with 30 coffee-producing families, officially established in 2009. Today, it comprises 97 families with access to a top-quality coffee laboratory in Risaralda. They operate a cherry coffee processing center with a daily capacity of 45,000 Kg, serving both members and other regional coffee growers.
A coffee roasting project is on the horizon, initiated through the Rural Development Agency (ADR) and now supported by the United Nations and the Coffee Growers Committee. Many organizations have contributed to their growth, including Productive Alliances 2012, Colciencias, and various government entities. They've also received institutional support from universities and earned national awards, like the Emprender Paz Award in 2019.
