DESCRIPTION AND HISTORY
We are a coffee-restaurant located in the La Unión village next to the police station, and we offer a complete experience centered around typical gastronomy and specialty coffee. Our coffee is prepared using direct filtering methods right at your table. Additionally, we have a natural space, a beautiful landscape, and birdwatching opportunities.
In 2019, after repeatedly asking my dad for permission to use the garden of our farm to offer Sunday lunches, in order to take advantage of the spectacular view it has overlooking the municipalities of Pereira and Dosquebradas, he finally agreed. The first "sancochada" (a traditional Colombian soup) was held on Sunday, November 10th. We had a strong desire to start a business and had a clear vision for the project, but we had limited financial resources. As a result, we used the old dining table from my mom's house, some borrowed chairs, and eventually even had to use the dining chairs from our own house.
Every week, we advertised the "sancocho" on WhatsApp and Facebook to offer it on Sundays. Through word of mouth among family and friends, our customer base began to grow, and we started acquiring furniture to make our guests feel more comfortable.
In this way, we expanded our menu and operating hours based on the feedback and suggestions of our diners.
