Our initiative is made up of two productive units: BICITOURS RUTAS DEL VIENTO, which is a purely receptive regional tour operator, and APÍCOLA DEL VIENTO, which produces, transforms and markets beekeeping products and by-products. Both have their meeting point in beekeeping tourism.

Bicitours Rutas del Viento was born as a strategy to link and strengthen different tourist attractions and products that are initially located in the municipalities of Apía, Santuario and Pueblo Rico, Risaralda, and in Viterbo, Caldas, but later expanded to all the municipalities of western Risaralda and Caldas, as well as to Chocó.

We were motivated by the lack of clear tourism policies from the governmental entities, the desire to help develop these regions that are not well known in the national and international tourism maps, and above all, the desire to generate an initiative that could be protective against massive and invasive tourism in an emerging region, so as not to make the same mistakes of other destinations in the coffee-growing region. Finally, we wish to share our experiences in different work and social areas, which make our experiences unique.

We officially started in January 2017, with a sustained growth until the pandemic.
