Café Don Gabo was born on October 17, 2020. Thanks to the pandemic, people were looking for an open and rural space, and we had this to offer to the people of Pereira. My father, Edgar Herrera, and I, Alejandra Herrera, jumped into the void without any knowledge. We had been coffee growers all our lives, but table service was a new branch to explore. This is how it was born, with zero knowledge, but with an incredible desire to move forward. The name “Café Don Gabo” is a tribute to my grandfather, Gabriel Herrera, who today is 84 years old. It is definitely a 100% family business with tradition.
