We are Medio Oscuro 1'634, a local coffee venture founded by two passionate young men in our beloved Risaralda, Colombia. Our story began with a deep love for coffee and a fervent desire to support our local coffee community. The name of our company has a special meaning for us. “Medio Oscuro” emerged from a fond memory: as children, we would hear our parents ask in coffee shops for ‘un tintico medio oscuro’, a phrase that, for us, captures the essence of our coffee tradition. The “1'634” represents the ideal altitude at which we grow our coffee, 1,634 meters above sea level, where the conditions are perfect for producing the highest quality beans.

We began this adventure with the vision of creating a business that would not only produce exceptional coffee, but would also have a positive impact on our community. From day one, we committed ourselves to working closely with local coffee growers, establishing direct and fair relationships. Our process is characterized by attention to detail: we carefully select the best coffee beans from the region, process them with care and roast them with precision to bring out the unique flavors of our land.
